The Tea Pagoda is a communal bamboo structure for hosting the annual Disorient retreat.
Designed by Nicholas Cheung and built by the retreat participants and local bamboo construction masters.  It is an example of a collaborative and community based public artwork where participants learn how to build their own habitat.
The octagonal structure features eight integrated lounge seats providing a communal space for festival participants to socialise.  The roof structure includes four internal stepladders creating a playful climbing frame that also assists with assembly.
A canopy, in Disorient colours, provides sun shading during the day with LED mood-lighting by night.
